Great improvement After the latest update I am very happy with this application. It is no longer some sort of cross platform app, it uses Google's android design principles and it does not override and tamper with the back button functionality anymore. Thank you FNB! :)

Connectivity has been lost? "Connectivity has been lost. Trying to reconnect." But never does, even when other apps seem to be fine with the connection. I noticed this happens I switch between the FnB app and a message with banking details for example. Only seems to work if I don't switch between apps... Have to completely close and re-open the FnB app to try again. This is a serious bug... please properly test on various android versions :-/ As far as mobile banking apps go, it's quite decent otherwise, allowing access to a wide range of options and banking functions, so some stars for that at least.

Constant use of GPS = Heavy battery usage I haven't had this app installed for a while. Last night I upgrade to the latest version and now it's almost constantly using my GPS. It accounts for 45% of the battery used in my 1 hour commute to work. This is a serious problem and one that should be addressed immediately. LG G3. I like FNB and I like this app, but I won't up my rating until proper feedback is received. Rating dropped to 1 star. Since restarting my phone 3 hours ago, this app has used 1h57min of GPS time. Ridiculous.

Can't even log in. I used the app a lot with my Xperia lt25 but since I got the m2 aqua I can't even log in to the app. There are complaints about the same thing from November last year so I'm not holding out great hope that you will have a fix soon. You seem to have no regard for any of your user comments. This is very disappointing fnb.

Loved it but then i upgraded... Its a awesome app, used it on my Samsung since i got it, upgraded to Sony Xperia M2 Aqua now, cant use it anymore....cant type my login details, please i ask of you fix this ASAP i use this app a lot and i hardly have access to a computer.....as soon as its fixed ill rate it 5 stars, if i could id rate it 10 to be honest, but as of the error with Sony Xperia ill rate it 1 star....waiting for a fix please!!

Clearly a problem with Xperia M2 I used this app a lot on my Samsung S3 mini. Now I can't with an Xperia M2 Aqua. Same as previous comments. Can't type anything to log in. I noticed that most of the other comments are from months ago. Still not fixed? Really? :@

Galaxy S5 closing app FNB have fixed this issue: This app does not work well on the S5. There is no way to exit or close the app without force closing or rebooting your phone. It is so annoying I have actually stopped using the app

Battery killer. Otherwise good. Be sure to force quit the app in after closing it. Doing this saves 15-20% battery every day. It seemingly has something to do with GPS usage, even when closed.

Banking Simplicity! Hi team. Awesome app. Really makes transferring cash n doing payments at any time a breeze! Brilliance is what it is! One way to improve it is to add a section in the menu for the FNB smart device n TV deals. That would be nice. It would be cool to receive notifications on hot deals for instance. Would really like to see that happen.

Tablet Hostile I hate this new app. It is design for use on a vertical phone screen and, for some bizarre reason does not rotate when the tablet is rotated. The entire interface had been dumbed down. Great for use on a small screen. Very frustrating an a decent sized tablet. Come on FNB. You can do better than this!

Great Functionality, and now a great UI This is a really great app, and gets all of my banking done. The user interface is now much much much better. Following android design philosophy, navigation is easier and effortless. I actually have to remind myself that I don't have to wait and tap over and over again as was the case in the previous version. Good job guys. I'll give it good use, but my first impression is 5 stars

Great App (But please remove portrait mode enforcement) I like this app it makes my life easier transferring, paying and checking balances has never been this easier. Please don't force us to use portrait mode it is frustrating on a tablet to have the app in portrait mode.Please fix this in your next update. I will give you 3 stars for now I am saving my 5 stars for the next update.Actually this app works very well on landscape mode, I have edited the apk file and changed the manifest settings to use landscape, it is nice and works perfectly.

Problem with new KitKat system There is no way to login.... The previous 'menu' button has been changed on the configuration so it is no longer the 'option' button... The only options (top right) is to close and exit... There is no longer the full menu on the top left either??? HELP!!!

Meh... This really was a great little app... altho I did get the false 'not connected to the internet' msg from time to time...however, now I am no longer getting timeous notifications about activity on my account...ie I got a notification that an account has been paid..when in fact I paid it 10 days ago. So what the hell? How about a reply... I see you take absolutely NO notice of customer reviews on here, which is rather disappointing, to be honest.

Flickers on Startup The app worked perfectly fine before the update. The screen flashes when you open certain screens like the startup until I press on something to make this stop. I have a Huawei G510. It seems to run perfect on my partners Z2. But surely it should work on all android devices like the previous version. Pls look into this because i love FNB and I loved the previous app. Just the flickering screen is not efficient.

Great app! And amazing service! Recently asked for a close/exit button. Within 24 hours they called me and gave me a solution and after 48 hours the app updated with the requested feature. Loving FNB! Feel so sorry for ppl that are with other banks!

Daniel HTC One This app is actually rather good. No more need for a Desktop to do your banking; it'll handle just about everything you may want to do on the move. Pity more vendors haven't woken up to accepting this as a payment option yet - FNB: do something about that!

Very bad ui Features: great. UI: TERRIBLE! Operations invoke full screen dim - constant ui flickering. Unnecessary full screen reloads - flickering! Completely unnecessary full screen confirmations - please read Google design guide on confirmations. Some operations take too many steps - too much clicking (i.e. selecting messages should be using gestures, not dedicated screen buttons). Action buttons at the bottom of the screen?! Ever heard of toolbar?

Not completely aligned to database The app looks OK but not great for overseas customers. The website allows my OTP to be sent to my Irish mobile but the app puts the SA +27 prefix on my mobile which doesn't work. Therefore I can't sign up for the app on my device. Please fix this issue and I'll increase the rating. Also it isn't as unified as advertised

It's capable but slow. The new "Just for you" ads are irritating and unwelcome. App gets the job done but takes its sweet time. The UI is also in desperate need of an overhaul. The new icons are really not pretty and give the app a dated feel.

Bad app One of the worst banking apps I have ever used. This app refuses to accept my online banking password. I can log onto online banking using my pc but the app keeps saying I have the wrong password. I even typed the password in notepad and pasted it into the app.

New upgrade does not work It does not want to accept my card number or the OTP that is sent to my phone! Why does it ask to sign up for application if it worked 100% before the upgrade. Everything still works 100% on the website, but on the app it says I enter incorrect card number or PIN

Buggy upgrade Having an issue since the last update where trying to purchase prepaid (elected, airtime, data etc) or sending money via eWallet shows the message that I have exceeded daily limit. This happens even without making prepaid transactions during the day.

Unable to use with screen filter The latest update doesn't work if you have a screen filter enabled (e.g. Twilight), the app opens but you're unable to select any of the menu options. This isn't a big issue as it's easy enough to temporarily disable the screen filter, but hopefully something you guys can look into as it worked before. Otherwise a great app.

Totally Disappointed!! This app works only abt 50% of the time. It seems like its primary focus is to push ads while forever loading... It says no Internet connection most if the time while my phone is on full connectivity status. Furthermore, it often says service unavailable intermittently... The developers should have kept this in Beta till they do better than this. Does FNB understand the importance of the functionality of the banking app? Its time like this when I miss Absa banking app because I could rely on it anytime...

Nonsense I used to love this app but I had to format and reinstall and now I can't use it. Firstly can't verify because I refuse to put in the pin for a card. Feels more like the app has been hacked than is more secure. And if I go back and say I have an account already I just want to log in it says my account is already linked to the phone. Which is true so just let me damn log in

FORCED Really disappointed with the new terms from FNB now forcing people to use this app in order to receive ebucks previously promised to them by merely using your card for purchases. Surely it's the people's choice whether they want to use cellphone banking or not, and in my opinion I don't feel comfortable

Terrible What a crappy app and a waste of data to download! Can't do anything. You can tick what you want- loads... no response. Terribly dissapointed yet we as customers pay to have these useless things created! Come on FNB show me the service I am paying a lot for. Some other banks are cheaper... so I deserve the service I pay for.

Best App I have used Most convenient way of banking that I need. I see a few people have issues with it, all I can say is go in to a branch and ask them to help. It also helps ensuring that your phone software is up to date and you download the latest version of the banking app.

Full of bugs I am using the most up to date version of this app and it is not functioning. I never had a problem before now. It freezes the moment it is opened and won't respond to clicks. Have had to go back to pc online banking. Fnb please fix these bugs!

We are now forced to use this app just to earn ebucks. Ps: It is not free. They charge you every month to use it, and do not mention how much in their terms and conditions. It is also littered with ads. We pay you a small fortune and you still engage in all these unethical practices. App is also slow and stutters at times on all my devices, including my Note 5.

Last update stopped app working with a screen filter active The most recent update stopped any buttons from working when I have a screen filter active. Several other people have had similar issues, it's a pity given how well the app generally works. Galaxy S4 mini

Allow or Deny FNB to make or manage phone calls?? What the hell is that? And then whether I choose Allow or Deny, I can't go any further anyway because all buttons are unresponsive. Used the previous app for years, no problem. Am giving up on this one!

Fraud I refuse to enter my pin and card number. I already have an account why would you be asking for this sensitive information (even though my account has been verified). Sounds like a way to get me in trouble. Fix your sh!t fnb.

From 1 star to 3 stars I had so much disdain for this app but I've been using it more often and it's come in really handy. However, I downloaded the app on my secondary phone but whenever I want to send an ewallet, I am getting a 'reached prepaid limit' (something to that effect) error. Thing is, I'm not buying any prepaid, I just want to send an ewallet. Could I be doing something wrong?

Constantly fails After nearly every transaction and all of the details being submitted. I get an error message that says "cannot process request. System currently unavailable please try again later".... it never seems to work anymore. I used to love this app but now it just frustrates me relentlessly.

Useless and frustrating Doesn't work 9 out of 10 times. When it does work that 1 out of 10 times I cannot finish a single payment as connectivity is lost like every 30 seconds. I give this minus 5 stars.

Does what it needs to This app pretty much does what I need it to do. Just a few things missing here and there. Nothing serious. I do however enjoy the ease in buying prepaid electricity. Well done FNB , I haven't been disappointed by you.

It works! 'Somewhat over-automated, though, e.g., previously one could arrange with a human at your branch, a day or two's delay before a debit order is actioned; now, "Sorry, Sir, yours is a good account, we only monitor bad accounts..." meaning that either the service was better pre-APP, or better if the account is 'bad' enough to need monitoring - by the "Most INNOVATIVE Bank in the World"!

A waste of time Good idea but app is being supported and run by kids in the basement. Translation is does not work .works only when you register for the first time from then you on your own .have to constantly register again and most times don't load .strictly advice to keep with the old school atm online. Cause you might end up switching banks .

It's capable but slow. New design is already much sharper and better. "Just for you" ads are irritating and unwelcome however. Please add a way to disable them. Although I do approve of the introduction of new features, one must be careful not to bloat the app.

This app sucks. Even though I got an internet connection it tells me it cannot connect, please check your settings. FNB want us to use it to ensure we get our ebucks, then make sure it works properly. I also cannot do more than one transaction at a time (that is if I'm lucky to get in). Please rectify or remove the app.

Disappointed Can't pay a person once off. Says I have exceeded my daily limit when I am no where near it. And the if you use Internet banking it asks you to verify using the app.....which you can't. Needs a lot of work

Double Verification odd but great app Overall a great banking app. Changing OTP and me changing device at the same time caused a hickup but support finally helped to sort it out today. App support requests not being answered in a timely manner is not acceptable though.

App says phone not compatible I have a Huawei P7, but when trying to access the new features of the app it says i must have NFC capabilities, android 4.4 or higher and should not be rooted or jailbroken. My phone has NFC, android 4.4.2 and is stock standard. Am i missing something?

Would be nice if FNB could publish a list of compatible devices about the Watch APP and possibly where one can get it - recent add says 40% discount on smartwatches on E-bucks but getting to E-bucks site is says Samsung devices not compatible with FNB app. so who wants to take the risk of buying something to discover its not compatible, but you have no idea whats compatible.

Here's a classic I am linked to my wife's account so I can sign into both accounts on my fnb app, Great. But then she's not linked to my account, she just installed the fnb app, not even authorized or signed in to any account but she gets all my push notifications from transactions coming from my account. Like when I swipe my card she gets a notification on an app that is not authorized. How is this even possible?

This is crap, connection slow Connection unreliable and interrupted connection sometimes, connecting to fnb website via phone is somewhat fast and reliable than this app using the same smartphone so it can't be network connectivity, ussd app *120* is better and reliable than this.

After 2 months of use it decides to block me out Had the same user and password for years, then on Friday it decides that I'm using incorrect password, Saturday I go to work and change password now the app recognizes nothing, unable to set up app again as it claims my card number is incorrect, Absolutely hogwash. This app sucks The staff that chat via the app are inadequately trained...the app itself does not fully work...calls do not work at all you cannot call via the app....Having wifi and mobile data on confuses the app...this is actually a known issue by FNB app depart.probably ask whatsap to teach you guys how to get calling working...The app cannot be verified properly or FNB staff do not know the proper procesures..opening new accounts fails aswell...and call me back well FNB do not respond to Call me backs or complaints..
